The DC drumline has been in existence since the early 1990s.  Through the years this musical sport has been a way for young adults, both men, and women, to show their creative side and be a part of something bigger than themselves.  

 

They work, unlike any sporting team.  Each of them has an integral part in their success or failure.  If anyone of them is not performing to the best of their ability, it can be detrimental to the show's success.  

In indoor percussion, there are elements of Music, Theater, Dance, and Athleticism that make up a 6-minute show.  Imagine having to be an Actor, Dancer, Musician, and a top-performing athlete all in the same competition.
